James Will Be Missed
I got James back in 1997 from a colleague of my wife. He was one of a litter of six. As a young cat in his first summer he would go haring around outside like a mad thing, and he would come back in panting like a dog!
We were extremely close, he was a very loving cat and would always cuddle up to me for evenings in front of the TV. The odd time in Winter he would singe his fur on the fire. Phew! What a smell!
His health deteriorated in the last year. Vets bills came to around €1000 but thankfully I had him insured. He never really recovered from a procedure he underwent last year and in the last few weeks he bacame really frail. Our closeness made it all the harder when I had to have him put to sleep last week, but at least now I know his suffering is over.

Yes Penny I do feel lost without him. I had a dream last night that it was all a nightmare and that he was there in the middle of the drive licking his bum as I tried to reverse the car in, but then I woke up and reality dawned that I am no longer owned by a cat. :-(
I'm sorry for your loss. James was a happy cat because you give him love and care, now he is cats heaven.
